I-10, r. 9 - Regulation respecting equivalence standards for diplomas granted by educational institutions outside Québec for purposes of the Ordre des ingénieurs forestiers du Québec

1.01. In this Regulation, unless the context indicates otherwise,
(a)  “credit” means the quantitative value allotted to a student’s compulsory work load, one credit being equal to 45 hours of attendance at a class or of personal work;
(b)  “equivalence” means the fact that a candidate’s level of knowledge is equivalent to that of the holder of a diploma recognized as giving access to a permit, as attested by a diploma recognized by the executive committee;
(c)  “forest sciences” means the aggregate mathematical, physical, biological and economic sciences applied to the forest and pertaining, in particular, to the management, protection, exploitation and economy of forest, the ecology of Québec forests, forest mensuration, silviculture, technology and wood sciences;
(d)  “secretary” means the secretary of the Ordre des ingénieurs forestiers du Québec (Order);
(e)  “committee of examiners” means the committee set up under paragraph 2 of section 86.0.1 of the Professional Code (chapter C-26).
